Château de L’Ou Blanc
Bought in 1998, this is a family run estate created by the incredibly talented and passionate Séverine and Philippe Bourrier, and lies just to the south of Perpignan, in the plains region of the Roussillon. It consists of three separate terroirs, all farmed organically. The name of the estate comes from the Catalan word l’Ou, meaning egg, because of the egg-shaped well on the property.
Dubbed “A Rising Star in the Roussillon” by Jeb Dunnuck, their wines are exceptional.
Manual harvest and fermentation at low temperature to work on the fruit and freshness. Vinification and aging for 2 to 3 months in stainless steel vats.
This wine is very fresh; with lime and white fruits aromas. The nose is both generous and subtle at the same time. The palate is concentrated and harmonious marrying fruits and freshness.
