Wine Tastings & Events
The best way to discover a new wine? Taste it.
You can learn everything there is to know about a region, uncover the producer behind it, and read all about their wines.
“ But eventually, you have to pour a glass and taste it for yourself. ”
Terroir tastings and events provide an opportunity to discover wines you may not have heard of or tried before. You get to learn a little more about what you're drinking, taste, and spend time with other wine lovers.
There's no need to be an expert, as long as you're interested in trying new wines.
What's coming up?
We hold events throughout the year, offering guided tastings, producer showcases, wine dinners, and the opportunity to explore different styles and vintages side by side.
Where possible, we love to bring our producers into the conversation.
We recently held a vertical tasting where the winemaker joined by video link, which gave our guests the opportunity to hear directly from the person who made the wine. They asked questions and learned more about the drink in their glass.
That's what makes a tasting session so dynamic.
It's more than working your way through a line-up of bottles. It's about learning more about where they came from and finding something you might want to drink again.

Never been to a wine tasting?
Don't worry. We don't have pop quizzes, and there's no pass or fail.
There's no need for an encyclopaedic knowledge of French wine regions, and we won't blindfold you and ask you which notes you can smell and taste.
At Terroir tastings, we talk you through the selected wines, share a little about the people who made them, and give you the chance to taste each of them and decide what you like.
We encourage questions, and we love to see people compare wines until you find a favourite, and then change your mind halfway through.
We believe that wine tasting should be interesting and enjoyable.
Taste something you wouldn't normally choose
It may be easier to keep buying wine you already know, but our events offer the chance to be a little more adventurous without buying a bottle you've never tried.
You may discover a new producer, taste a grape variety you normally overlook, or even realise you really like a wine you would never have picked off the shelf.
And if you find something you love, we'll make it as easy as possible to find it again.

Want to come to the next one?
Terroir tasting places are limited, particularly when we're working with a smaller venue or producer.
The best way to avoid missing out is to join the Terroir mailing list. We'll let you know when the next tasting, dinner or wine event is coming up.
You'll also be among the first to hear about new wines and a few bottles we think are worth trying.
Interested in a private tasting?
If you're planning something of your own, Terroir may also be able to help with private wine tastings or events for groups, depending on what you have in mind.
Get in touch and tell us what you're planning.
