Wine Worth Discovering
You don't have to recognise the label to enjoy the wine.
Terroir Wines brings wines into Singapore from independent producers in France, Italy and other wine regions. We tend to look beyond the names everyone already knows, which means you'll find some interesting producers here you may not have tried before.
Many work organically or biodynamically, some have been making wine for generations and others produce only small quantities.
“ Most importantly, we like their wine. ”
Not sure where to start?
You don't need to be trained to find an enjoyable wine.
Maybe you need something for dinner tonight, a bottle to take to a friend's place, or a gift. Perhaps you want something under $50, or you're looking to branch out to try something completely different.
Start with what you know, and we'll be more than happy to help with the rest.

What we're drinking
Caryn and David spend a fair amount of time tasting wine. Here are a few they're enjoying at the moment.
Why Terroir
Because we're passionate about discovering good wine, and we think other people are too.
Caryn and David started Terroir because they enjoyed wine and wanted to know more about it. That eventually led to WSET qualifications, a lot of tasting and meeting some of the people making the wines they enjoyed.
Today, they choose the wines Terroir brings into Singapore themselves.
You won't find hundreds of labels here, and that's deliberate. What you will find are wines that have been selected because Caryn and David would happily pour a glass.
Organic? Sustainable?
Get used to the words organic and sustainable, we use them quite a bit around here because many of our producers take a thoughtful approach to their vineyards, land, and the way their wines are made.
Many of the producers at Terroir use organic methods, but we don't stock a wine just because it ticks a box. We still need to like what's in the bottle.
We've explained the difference here.
Meet the people behind the wine
Terroir works with a small group of producers and there are some great stories among them.
Take Séverine and Philippe Bourrier, who bought Château de L'Ou in 1998 and immediately started converting the vineyard to organic farming. Or Amastuola in Puglia, where the vines have been planted in waves across the landscape among centuries-old olive trees.
These aren't necessarily names you'll see on every wine list in Singapore. That's one of the reasons we want to introduce you to them.
What do you drink with chilli crab?
We know what goes with steak. There are about a million wine guides happy to tell us.
Chilli crab is a little more interesting.
We've looked at what to drink with chilli crab, laksa, satay, Hainanese chicken rice and some other Singapore favourites.
Come and taste the wine
The best way to discover a new wine is to taste it.
We hold tastings and events to give people a chance to try something new, all while learning about what's in your glass. It's also an opportunity to meet other wine drinkers, without a formal feel.
From guided tastings to winemaker events and dinners, see what's coming up next.
Need help?
If you can't decide what to buy, tell us what you need.
It can be as simple as, “I'm having friends over for dinner on Saturday and need three bottles of red.”
We'll go from there.
