Château Laballe Carpe Diem – Clos Cazalet
Château Laballe is located in the heart of the Sud-Ouest, in the Côtes de Gascogne, between the Landes and the Gers and was granted AOC status in 1981. The area consists of various soil types, including alluvial soils, slate, salt and clay, combined with the Atlantic climate and the grape varieties Colombard, Sauvignon Blanc and Ugni Blanc, which together produce crisp wines with a rich aromatic palette. The concentration of oxidized iron gives freshness and minerals to the wine.
In the heart of the appellation, Clos Cazalet is one of the rare independent domaine of Tursan. Carpe Diem is aging with the utmost respect of Landes traditions. A beautiful pale yellow colour with green reflections, an intense nose on the white fruit, slightly honeyed and aniseed. The nose is expressive; the mouth is full and elegant. The Baroque, unknown grape but very interesting. Baroque is a white French wine grape planted primarily in South West France around the Tursan region. It can make full bodied wines with nutty flavours. To discover without delay
Grape: Gros Manseng, Baroque, Petit-manseng
