Château Laballe Les Terres Basses Rouge
Château Laballe is located in the heart of the Sud-Ouest, in the Côtes de Gascogne, between the Landes and the Gers and was granted AOC status in 1981. The area consists of various soil types, including alluvial soils, slate, salt and clay, combined with the Atlantic climate and the grape varieties Colombard, Sauvignon Blanc and Ugni Blanc, which together produce crisp wines with a rich aromatic palette. The concentration of oxidized iron gives freshness and minerals to the wine.
Chateau Laballe’s rouge Terres Basses combines the classic grapes of the region, with Tannat next to silky soft Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon to make a smooth, balanced and delicious Gascon red. In this soft and elegant wine you will find a complex range of aromas, diverse and well balanced. Hints of tannin to define the body with notes of spice, blackberry and violet on the nose.
