Cantine Amastuola Primitivo 2018

Located in Crispiano in the Puglia region, Amastuola organic wines are the result of an artisanal process that strongly recalls tradition while employing advanced technologies. The vineyards sit on a plateau at an altitude of 210 meters above sea level and are farmed entirely according to certified organic practices.

Primitivo is certainly one of the greatest landmarks of Italian wine. It is produced mainly in Puglia, in the heel of the “Italian boot”. Wines made from the Primitivo grape are increasingly popular, and this finely balanced example is bursting with dried fruit and maraschino aromas that draw you in to a rich, rounded mouthful where spice, dark fruit and cleansing minerality are perfectly poised.

This organic wine with a deep and bright ruby-red colour. The nose is fruity with hints of plum and cinnamon. On the palate it has an impact of volume, although it is fine, rich and balanced, with slight hints of berries and spices in the finish. The full-bodied texture of this organic wine makes it suitable for meat dishes of any kind: red or white grilled meats, but also game, baked lamb or kid. Recommend serving between 17° and 18° C.
