Château de L’Ou I Love L’Ou Rouge 2016
Bought in 1998, this is a family run estate created by the incredibly talented and passionate Séverine and Philippe Bourrier, and lies just to the south of Perpignan, in the plains region of the Roussillon. It consists of three separate terroirs, all farmed organically. The vineyard terroir for Chateau de L’Ou Blanc Cotes Du Roussillon consists of alluvial marls of the Roussillon plain. The name of the estate comes from the Catalan word l’Ou, meaning egg, because of the egg-shaped well on the property.
Dubbed “A Rising Star in the Roussillon” by Jeb Dunnuck, their wines are exceptional.
A light and fresh blend of southern French varietals which come together with delicious notes of crunchy red and black fruits on a smooth, juicy palate. Easy drinking style. The robe is garnet; The nose has notes of liquorice, black fruits and flavours of fruits and spices. An easy wine to drink and to enjoy.
