Domaine Boucabeille Les Orris Rouge 2019

The wines of the Boucabeille estate are produced mainly on the Forca real hill 15 km northwest of Perpignan. It promotes biodiversity around the vine by planting forest and scrubland but also creates ponds and places dozens of beehives. The Forca real hill is made up of slate schists that date back 450 million years.
The schist allows the vine to penetrate deep in order to find all the elements it needs (water and minerals). The altitude of the vines (505 meters) brings freshness. This terroir also brings roundness and length in the mouth, as well as a lot of finesse and complex aromas.

Les Orris, an evocative name, evoking the old stone shelters of the shepherds, this vintage sold in red and white, aims to be the standard-bearer of the estate.

The 2019 harvest was marked by a very capricious climate and a glaring water deficit. The first part of the year was quite cold (June was below the normal season). The second period was extremely hot.
The Domaine Boucabeille Côtes-du-Roussillon Villages Les Orris Rouge 2019 is a dense and flavourful red wine made from 70% Syrah, 15% Grenache and 15% Mourvèdre. Its notes of black fruits, dried herbs, cassis, ripe cherries and chocolate result in a generous, round wine with firm, polished and refreshing tannins. It has excellent cellaring potential
